GEOMETRIC ABSTRACT ARTS COMPETITION - 2025

Dear students, explore the beauty of mathematics by creating geometric abstract art powered by  imagination beyond boundaries and send it to us, so that we can celebrate your creativity skills. Geometric Abstract Arts Competition is ready to award cash prizes and certificates to the most beautiful and meaningful drawings that are created by you,

Conditions of the competition

  1. Only the students residing in Sri Lanka can participate and one student is eligible to submit only one drawing of size 14in × 18in.
  1. Any preferred medium can be used except for sticky, non-drying types of paints. Only  the geometric shapes such as circles, triangles, rectangles and straight lines  with different colour shading are permitted in your drawings (Examples given below).
  2. If the submitted drawing is selected to the final round, you will be required to send us the original drawing upon notification, along with a certification from your Principal, Vice Principal as a part of the verification process.
  3. The drawing should be an original creation by you. It should not have been submitted to any other competition and you should not recreate it or give it to someone else to create.
  4. The copyright of all drawings submitted to the competition will rest with the BRAINSTORMER FOUNDATION and will not be returned.
  5. Winners will be decided by a veteran board of judges  and the decision of the judges will be final.

Prizes and certificates

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded cash prizes worth Rs. 50,000 I Rs. 30,000 | Rs. 20,000 and certificates, respectively.
  • 25 Excellence Award winners will receive certificates and 50 Merit Certificates will also be awarded.
  • Awards Ceremony will be held on 14th of March 2025 at the Colombo Public Library Auditorium
All cash prizes will be credited to  Winner’s Savings Accounts at Commercial Bank.  This competition is organized by the BRAINSTORMER FOUNDATION with the prior approval from the  Ministry of Education, in commemoration of the International Day of Mathematics on the 14th of March .

How to send in your drawings

To enter the competition, upload a scanned drawing of the artwork (in JPEG format, not more than 10MB) along with the relevant details, by 14th of February 2025.
